Joy in a box...

Living in China, there is nothing quite like the joy of getting loved through the postal system. We never realize how much we miss food from our home country until it is sitting there all neatly packed in a box just for us! Jumping up and down with my heart skipping a beating WAY too fast, it felt like I was anticipating the most valuable possession hiding beneath the packaged tape. To what do I find, but an assortment of mixes, chocolate chip cookies, spices, socks, goodies, teachery things, and even Berenstain bear books! See below for our overjoyous expressions :)

Laying around my beloved chocolate chips.....even Andes mint and butterscotch flavor!

"Oooooo.....AAaaahhhhh!" "Honey, you gotta try these....." New wool socks for those Shenyang winters...enough said.

I never realized how much I missed trail mix until I was staring at the bag with cashews, raisins and M & M's inside! Yummy!

With the right salt, now I can make those soft pretzels I miss so much! Woohoo!

A special thanks goes out to Becky Evans and Carol Casten for completing making our night tonight! We felt so loved...thank you!

  1. Glad you received everything! And some of the socks are for Lauren, not sure if you noticed that there are md and lg sizes!

  2. Question: Was the salt box dented and opened when you got it? I had opened it to see what the salt looked like, but then I had taped it shut. I just wondered if it had been opened again before you received it.

  3. Thank you again for that precious box. The salt was opened a little, but no problem! I made soft pretzels last night, and the salt worked perfectly! I even made some cinnamon sugar pretzels too....thank you again!
